If you didn’t know, I’ve been a Birchbox Man subscriber for a little over a year, and have been sampling men’s grooming and lifestyle products every month. For being such a dedicated subscriber, Birchbox Man sent me a full sized bottle of English Laundry’s 3-in-1 Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Wash. I got a chance to try it out, and here are my thoughts!

Product: Pretty self explanatory, this product can be used as a shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, eliminating the need to carry around each of these items individually. The bottle states the “conditioning formula with added skin moisturizers creates a thick & creamy lather. Won’t leave skin too oily or dried out. Great for every day use.” As with most English Laundry fragrances I’ve tried out, it’s a very masculine scent that smells musky/woodsy.

Good:

• I go to the gym in the mornings and shower there, so the fact that this product acted as 3 separate products makes it really convenient to carry around. Previously, I had to carry a separate bottle for shampoo and body wash, so the lighter load is appreciated.
• When I posted a picture of the bottle on Instagram, one of my friends suggested that the nature of this product might cause my skin to dry out. This was not the case as not only did it leave my hair feeling soft, my skin also felt soft, even without needing lotion. I’ve used “combo” products before, finding that they didn’t perform that well, but this certainly delivered.

Bad:

• I wouldn’t say this is a fault of the product, and is mostly a matter of personal preference, but the fragrance of the product isn’t my cup of tea. I prefer fresh/citrusy scents when it comes to body wash, and this one was a little too musky for me. However, this is again NOT a fault of the product, as it actually does smell pretty great.

Overall, I think this was a great product that not only does what it’s supposed to, but is easy to carry around when having multiple bottles is too much of a hassle. While I wouldn’t buy another bottle for myself because the scent doesn’t suit my personal taste, I will still gladly use it, and would recommend it to those I think would enjoy the product.
