Growing with RPM

I know it might not seem like much, but the video down below is an accomplishment of sorts. A year ago, I was just starting out as a host for RPM alongside Ale Cat, and I relied on the direction of Ale and producers in order to get through a video. I had some experience doing videos with my personal channel, but it’s different when you’re doing a video for a network like RPM and Maker.

This video is “simple,” relative to other videos I’ve done, but the fact that I coordinated a lot from coming up with the concept to gathering the tweets to actually shooting the video…it makes me realize how far I’ve come from my first few months working for Maker Studios. Like I said, I never would have been able to do this alone a year ago, nor have the confidence that I had when working on this video. Now it all comes second nature, and to me, that’s amazing.

It also makes me realize how amazing this past year has been, getting to know amazing coworkers, meeting YouTubers large and not so large, getting to go to conventions like Playlist LIVE and VidCon representing RPM, and many more things that would make a pretty long list I would’ve never imagined possible when I accepted this position.

2013 has been a great year for me both professionally and personally, and I couldn’t be more grateful for all I got to experience. I can’t wait to see what 2014 has in store, and what other amazing and memorable things I’ll get to add to this list!
