Slightly misleading headlines, FTW. Anyway, growing up surrounded by advertisements, one of the things blatantly obvious about them is that things don’t always appear in ads as they are in real life. Perfect example: fast food. I’m sure I’m not the only one who gets disappointed eating a Carl’s Jr. burger, not hearing the delicious biting sound from the commercials.

A customer recently tweeted to McDonald’s asking why the burgers at the restaurant don’t look like they do in commercials. Because ignoring customer tweets is a social media no-no, McDonald’s Canada’s director of marketing Hope Bagozzi answers that question in a new video. Watch as a Quarter Pounder gets “styled” for a photoshoot, and see why ads look better than burgers in real life.

Ever since I came across a fake “top secret” menu item, I’ve been looking for a good resource for In-N-Out’s secret menu, partly because I’ve only heard about the menu through word of mouth, and partly because I just don’t know everything my favorite burger joint has to offer. BadMouth ended my search, as they have a pretty good guide complete with mouth watering pictures. Take a look!

A “2×4″ is a burger with two beef patties and four slices of cheese. You can also order a “3×3,” a “4×2″ or any other meat/cheese combo your little heart desires. In the past, we’ve seen burgers as large as a 100×100, but In-N-Out changed their policy and now a 4×4 is as large as you can get.We managed to get ourselves a 20×20before that rule went into effect, though.

A mustard-cooked beef patty with additional pickles, cheese, spread and grilled onions diced up and mixed together on the grill before getting dumped on your burger. This is probably the most famous secret menu item, and for good reason: it’s pure awesome on a bun. You can get any burger done Animal Style.

A cheeseburger without the “burger.” My niece always orders the grilled cheese because she doesn’t eat beef and “veggie burgers are boring.” You still have lettuce, onions and tomatoes — as well as a nice helping of the spread. Can also be ordered Animal Style.

Well damn, now I want In-N-Out. There are plenty more secret menu items to look at, so be sure to head over to BadMouth to check them all out!

Do you know of more secret menu items that aren’t on this list?

I’m sure you’ve heard of ordering something at In-N-Out “Animal Style,” or going above and beyond the Double-Double and going for a 3×3, 4×4, or even the 100×100?

Well, now it’s time to reveal In-N-Out’s “Top Secret” menu, since one of the items will be outlawed in California on July 1. Introducing: The Double Duck. This has thick slices of foie gras layered into a Double-Double burger. As some of you know, foie gras will be banned in California on July 1, so people are flocking to In-N-Out to get a last taste of The Double Duck.

Watch the video below as comedian David Ury orders and indulges on The Double Duck.

P.S. Did I mention David Ury is a comedian? That’s right, this burger is not actually real, although the ban on foie gras is. So share this with friends and fool them too!
