Nobody knows a restaurant better than the employees, and it seems some of them are speaking out about their workplaces. The Huffington Post highlighted some posts found on Reddit, and some of them might make you think twice about what you’re eating.

Chicken Nuggets: Some of the grossest stories on this thread talked about the dubious material nuggets are generally made of. As noted by 4ScienceandReason,pictures and videos like these have already scared a lot of us off of chicken nuggets forever. Just in case that wasn’t enough, this comment by Dfunkatron might seal the deal for you, “When I worked at McDonald’s, I accidentally left a whole bag of about 100 chicken nuggets out on a counter for way too long. They melted. Into a pool of liquid. I never understood why. But they were completely indiscernible as being the nuggets i once knew.”

Wendy’s Chili: While not as traditionally disgusting as some other fast food traditions, we found Cozmo23′s description of the chili recipe at Wendy’s to be pretty stomach-churning — “The meat comes from hamburger patties that sat on the grill too long to serve to customers. They take them and put them in a bin and then throw them in the fridge. When the chili is made they take it out, boil it, chop it up and dump them in the chili.”

Vegetarians Beware: While a lot of comments admitted to using the same grill/spatula/knife on vegetarian and meat items alike, this comment from user attack_goblin made us gasp a little extra: “I used to work at a restaurant where we deep-fried the Gardenburger patties in the same oil we deep-fried the bacon.”

My froyo toppings of choice include fresh strawberries, mangos, and of course, mochi, but what if the mochi was found next to tomatoes? Well, maybe this topping isn’t for the froyo we know and love, but is for something new that Pinkberry is offering.

Pinkberry is going Greek.

No, the Los Angeles-based yogurt chain Pinkberry isn’t joining a UCLA frat; they’re hopping on the bandwagon and serving nonfat Greek yogurt!

The company — whose first store opened in West Hollywood in 2005 — is making a surprising move in a number of ways. While Pinkberry is known for its upscale frozen yogurt, the Greek yogurt that they’re starting to sell is unfrozen.

That’s right, Pinkberry has started to serve Greek yogurt, which has significantly risen in popularity. The store is also planning on selling coffee, trying to make it THE place to stop for breakfast.

As much as I used to love Pinkberry, I’ve skipped over it a few times in favor of its cheaper (but just as delicious) competitor, Yogurtland. However, I do love Greek yogurt, so maybe it’s time to go back to Pinkberry?

What do you think of Pinkberry’s newest offerings?

Once upon a time, when McDonald’s introduced their line of sandwiches known as the McGriddles, I thought having a breakfast sandwich with syrupy pancakes as buns would be horrible. Cut to a few years later, when I actually tried one, and I found out the mix of salty and sweet was quite delicious.

Now, The Huffington Post shows us that someone has taken these weird sandwich hybrids to a new level.

After listening to radio hosts discuss the idea of using a Cinnabon as a bun for a hamburger, Nick of DudeFoods.com decided he had to try it for real. So, he bought a Cinnabon, grilled a half-pound hamburger and fried some bacon. Then, he created The Cinnaburger.

And, he loved it. He found that letting the burger sit for a few minutes before eating actually worked out well, as the burger patty soaked up more frosting, which for him was apparently a good thing.

Despite the fact that it looks insanely bizarre, I probably would try a few bites of this should it ever end up being in front of my face. Would you try it?

Slightly misleading headlines, FTW. Anyway, growing up surrounded by advertisements, one of the things blatantly obvious about them is that things don’t always appear in ads as they are in real life. Perfect example: fast food. I’m sure I’m not the only one who gets disappointed eating a Carl’s Jr. burger, not hearing the delicious biting sound from the commercials.

A customer recently tweeted to McDonald’s asking why the burgers at the restaurant don’t look like they do in commercials. Because ignoring customer tweets is a social media no-no, McDonald’s Canada’s director of marketing Hope Bagozzi answers that question in a new video. Watch as a Quarter Pounder gets “styled” for a photoshoot, and see why ads look better than burgers in real life.

Yes, you read that right: Burger King has a bacon sundae. There are mixed reviews, from good, to bad, to fattening (really? Ice cream and bacon together is fattening? SHOCKER!) but the thing that shocks me the most is that I’m not surprised about this. Wasn’t it Jack in the Box, after all, that had a Bacon Shake not too long ago? I should know, I tried it. But check out BK’s version below.

Don’t know if I’ll try it. I do admit it does look pretty good, especially after the Bacon Shake wasn’t too bad (as long as you didn’t have too much of it). But what about you? Would you try the bacon sundae?

Ever since I came across a fake “top secret” menu item, I’ve been looking for a good resource for In-N-Out’s secret menu, partly because I’ve only heard about the menu through word of mouth, and partly because I just don’t know everything my favorite burger joint has to offer. BadMouth ended my search, as they have a pretty good guide complete with mouth watering pictures. Take a look!

A “2×4″ is a burger with two beef patties and four slices of cheese. You can also order a “3×3,” a “4×2″ or any other meat/cheese combo your little heart desires. In the past, we’ve seen burgers as large as a 100×100, but In-N-Out changed their policy and now a 4×4 is as large as you can get.We managed to get ourselves a 20×20before that rule went into effect, though.

A mustard-cooked beef patty with additional pickles, cheese, spread and grilled onions diced up and mixed together on the grill before getting dumped on your burger. This is probably the most famous secret menu item, and for good reason: it’s pure awesome on a bun. You can get any burger done Animal Style.

A cheeseburger without the “burger.” My niece always orders the grilled cheese because she doesn’t eat beef and “veggie burgers are boring.” You still have lettuce, onions and tomatoes — as well as a nice helping of the spread. Can also be ordered Animal Style.

Well damn, now I want In-N-Out. There are plenty more secret menu items to look at, so be sure to head over to BadMouth to check them all out!

Do you know of more secret menu items that aren’t on this list?

I’m sure you’ve heard of ordering something at In-N-Out “Animal Style,” or going above and beyond the Double-Double and going for a 3×3, 4×4, or even the 100×100?

Well, now it’s time to reveal In-N-Out’s “Top Secret” menu, since one of the items will be outlawed in California on July 1. Introducing: The Double Duck. This has thick slices of foie gras layered into a Double-Double burger. As some of you know, foie gras will be banned in California on July 1, so people are flocking to In-N-Out to get a last taste of The Double Duck.

Watch the video below as comedian David Ury orders and indulges on The Double Duck.

P.S. Did I mention David Ury is a comedian? That’s right, this burger is not actually real, although the ban on foie gras is. So share this with friends and fool them too!

Ice cream is one of the last things I’d ever think of calling sexy but I guess there’s a first time for everything! Not since Sprinkles revealed their new ice cream did my eyes ever get so excited at the sight of the delicious dessert. These are called Bardot Bars, and they’re catching a lot of attention. Not only because of the way they look, but because of their flavors as well, including “dulce du leche and mascarpone, fresh mint, and a strawberry cream cheese mix, reports the San Diego Reader.”

These bars were designed by Ana Henton and will first roll out in La Jolla, Arcadia, and West Covina. I wonder how long it will take to hit LA?
